FC Zurich suffer 0-4 defeat against Young Boys Berne
FC Zurich have lost their away game against Young Boys Berne 0-4 tonight.
The home team from Berne took over control of the action on the pitch from kick-off, had more ball possession and created several good scoring opportunities. The visitors from Zurich had their first chance in the 6th minute, but Kramer narrowly missed a cross from Levan Kharabadze.
In the 29th minute, Young Boys Berne took the lead: A header from Fassnacht landed on the post, the ball bounced off the leg of goalkeeper Yanick Brecher and found its way into the net to put the home team 1-0 in front.
At the beginning of the second half, FC Zurich made two substitutions: Matteo Di Giusto (19 years) replaced Ceesay and Ilan Sauter (18 years) came on for Kharabadze. Both of them made their debuts in an official match for FC Zurich.
Young Boys Berne were the dominating team also throughout the second half and ultimately doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 59th minute thanks to Nsame. Ngamaleu's penalty in the 69th minute (3-0) and Gaudino with a directly converted free-kick in the 77th minute put the final score to 4-0 in favor of the home team.
On Saturday, 14 September 2019, FC Zurich will be facing FC Wil away in the Helvetia Swiss Cup (kick-off 7pm).
