FC Zurich Beats FC Wil and Reaches the Cup Semi-Finals
1:1 – FC Zurich Draws against FC Lucerne

Comfortable 4:0 Home Win against Young Boys Bern

In ice-cold temperatures and heavy snowfall, FC Zurich has celebrated a comfortable 4:0 home win against Young Boys Bern.

The visitors had a lively start to the game and tried to put pressure on FC Zurich’s defense from the very first minute. The home team, however, waited for their chance patiently and assumed control of the game after around 10 minutes. In the 17th minute, Gavranovic got to display his fine technique when he dribbled past Young Boys’ defensive lines – and lying on the ground he passed the ball to his teammate Drmic, who put the home team 1:0 up.

Just after half-time, Chermiti converted a pass from Benito and increased FC Zurich’s lead to 2:0. And another 20 minutes later, Chermiti again found himself on his own in front of the visitors’ goal – but instead of scoring himself, he crossed the ball to Gavranovic, whose 3:0 decided today’s game. FC Zurich now really showed some nice football and several fine plays. After a smooth pass by Gavranovic, Jahovic tipped the ball over the Young Boys goalkeeper to make it 4:0.

Already next Wednesday, FC Zurich will be facing FC Wil in the cup quarter-final in St Gall’s AFG Arena.
