FC Zurich have lost their second game against FC Aarau this season with a final score of 1-5 this afternoon.

Callà put the home side in the lead in the 21st minute: after a long pass, Callà found himself all alone in front of FC Zurich keeper Da Costa, who had no other possibility but stop the FC Aarau player with a foul. Da Costa was sent off and the referee awarded a penalty which Callà converted without any problems. And it was again Callà only a little over 10 minutes later who increased the home team’s lead to 2-0 with a precise shot into the far corner of the net.

It was only after about 40 minutes that the visitors from Zurich created the first promising scoring opportunity for themselves: After a free kick by Kukuruzovic, Benito headed the ball towards goal, but the FC Aarau keeper was able to save the ball.

During the second half, FC Zurich got into the match a bit better and Pedro Henrique scored the 1-4 for the visitors in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he was the only FC Zurich goal scorer of the afternoon, whereas Schultz, Ionita and Hallenius also scored for FC Aarau to put the final score to 5-1 – all in all a well-deserved win for the hosts.

FC Zurich will be playing their next home game against FC Basel this coming Sunday.
