FC Zurich Draws Grasshopper Club 1-1
FC Zurich Wins Swiss Cup Quarter Final against FC St Gallen 1-0

FC Zurich Beats FC Lausanne-Sport 4-0

After the magnificent 1-0 win against FC St Gallen in the Swiss cup quarter final last Wednesday, FC Zurich have again shown a convincing performance in tonight's Super League match against FC Lausanne-Sport: the team of head coach Urs Meier beat the visitors from Lausanne 4-0.

FC Zurich had a slow start to the match and was struggling to organize their play until Marco Schönbächler scored the first goal of the evening in the 28th minute after a fine pass by Asmir Kajevic. From this moment onwards, the home side was in full control of the action on the pitch.

It wasn't until the 58th minute, however, that the team from Zurich finally managed to increase their lead to two goals when Avi Rikan scored the 2-0 – just a few moments earlier, FC Zurich's Israeli midfielder had cleared the ball off the line and denied FC Lausanne-Sport the equalizer. On 81 minutes, Davide Mariani scored his very first goal for FC Zurich's first team, and just three minutes later, Jorge Teixeira headed the ball into the visitors' net to put the final score to 4-0 – a well-deserved victory.

FC Zurich will be playing their last game of the first half of the 2013 / 2014 Super League season against local rivals Grasshopper Club this Sunday afternoon.
