Würth Swiss Cup: FC Zurich Beat FC Tavannes/Tramelan 6-1

FC Zurich have won their Würth Swiss Cup encounter with FC Tavannes/Tramelan 6-1 this afternoon and are through to the second round of this season’s cup competition.

Zurich striker Armando Sadiku opened the score on 5 minutes already. And just a quarter of an hour later, the Albanian had already scored a hat trick and the visitors were 3-0 up. Zurich’s Kevin Bua made some decisive passes and put in a striking performance. The game was ultimately decided on 24 minutes when Chermiti netted in to put the score to 4-0.

Nothing much happened until the 59th minute, when it was again Chermiti who scored his second of the afternoon, putting his side 5-0 up. But only two minutes later, the likeable hosts from FC Tavannes/Tramelan in the Bernese Jura got their consolation goal: Dane Imbriano lobbed the ball over FC Zurich keeper Anthony Favre, scoring the 5-1. The two substitutes Franck Etoundi and Mario Gavranovic were then responsible for the final result as the Cameroonian striker back-heeled the ball to his teammate, who converted this opportunity without any problems and put the final score to 6-1.

FC Zurich will be facing FC Wohlen in the second round of the Würth Swiss Cup (September 19th/20th). The next Super League home game will take place this coming Saturday evening against FC Lucerne (kick-off 20h).
