FC Zurich beat FC Le Mont LS 5-1
FC Zurich have won their home game against Le Mont 5-1 tonight.
The visitors from Le Mont didn’t allow the FC Zurich players a lot of space during the opening minutes of tonight’s game. Consequently, the first goal on 15 minutes was scored following a free kick: Marchesano played the ball to the middle, where the Le Mont defenders had forgotten Brunner who beat former FC Zurich keeper Favre with a header. It was Brunner’s first goal for FC Zurich’s first team.
The visitors had a better beginning to the second half than the home side, and a shot by Sessolo forced a save by Zurich keeper Brecher. A few moments later, Brunner’s long pass found Cavusevic – he headed the ball onto Dwamena who doubled FC Zurich’s lead to 2-0 on 58 minutes.
And only three minutes later, Dwamena finished off a nice combination play between Winter and Schönbächler to put the score to 3-0 for the home side; a goal which just about decided tonight’s game.
Buff then missed the fourth Zurich goal, but only a couple of minutes thereafter, Schönbächler found himself all alone in front of Le Mont keeper Favre, who had no chance to save Schönbächler’s shot from close range. And in the 85th minute, Koné then even scored the 5-0 for FC Zurich after a rebound off keeper Favre.
However, the visitors from Le Mont got one back in the last minute of the game when Bengondo scored his side’s only goal of the evening, putting the final score to 5-1 for FC Zurich.
Next Saturday evening, 13 May 2017, FC Zurich will be facing FC Winterthur away (kick-off 5:45pm).
