FC Zurich draw Young Boys Berne 0-0
Tonight's game at the Letzigrund Stadium between FC Zurich and Young Boys Berne has ended in a 0-0 draw.
FC Zurich dominated their opponents during the first half and in the 34th minute, Raphael Dwamena got very close to scoring the opener after a pass by Kevin Rüegg, but the Ghanaian's curled shot just whizzed past the post.
After the half-time break, the formerly rather passive visitors from Berne increased their pace and in the 54th minute, FC Zurich's Latvian keeper Andris Vanins saved his team the draw thanks to a magnificent reflex and a spectacular clearance of Guillaume Hoarau's shot on goal.
After the final whistle, both teams were happy with this point. Zurich striker Michael Frey said: „Of course, I would have preferred a win tonight, but considering how the game developed, winning a point against title favorites Young Boys Berne is certainly a positive result for us.“
Next Sunday afternoon, August 27th, 2017, the team of head coach Uli Forte will be facing FC Lucerne away (kick-off 4pm).
