The contracts with Chiumiento and Kecojevic will not be renewed

The contracts with midfielder Davide Chiumiento and defender Ivan Kecojevic expiring on 30 June 2017 will not be renewed.

32-year-old Chiumiento joined FC Zurich from the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2012. His other professional clubs before his transfer to Canada in 2010 were FC St Gallen, Juventus Turin (for which he made his Serie A debut at the age of 19), AC Siena, FC Le Mans, BSC Young Boys and FC Lucerne. Chiumiento played 129 official matches for FC Zurich (13 goals, 24 assists) (source: dbfcz.ch).

Montenegrin defender Ivan Kecojevic (29) began his footballing career with FK Mornar Bar. He then played for FK Teleoptik, FK Čukarički, OFK Beograd and Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor before joining FC Zurich in January 2014. So far, Kecojevic has played 108 official matches for FC Zurich (5 goals, 5 assists) (source: dbfcz.ch).

Both Chiumiento and Kecojevic have worn the club’s captain’s armband and won the Swiss Cup with FC Zurich in 2014 and 2016.
