FC Zurich celebrate outright 5:2 victory against FC Le Mont
Following a convincing performance in their away game against FC Le Mont, FC Zurich have celebrated a well-deserved 5-2 victory tonight.
Koné opened the score just two minutes in when Schönbächler’s ball found Zurich’s Senegalese striker lurking in front of the Le Mont goal. Following this early lead, the visitors managed to keep up the pressure on their opponents and before the first seven minutes were through, Dwamena doubled his side’s lead to 2:0; Rodriguez had provided the assist.
And the game pretty much continued like this: On 24 minutes, Dwamena’s perfectly timed ball found Koné in front of the goal, and all that was left for Koné to do was slide the ball home to score his second goal of the evening and increase the half-time score to 3:0 for FC Zurich.
Shortly after the beginning of the second half, Rodriguez duped the Le Mont defense with a back- heel pass, after which Schönbächler converted Dwamena’s cross to put the score to 4:0 in favor of the visitors in the 49th minute. And on 55 minutes, it was then Kempter’s turn to make the score 5:0 with a powerful shot from a narrow angle.
Since FC Zurich then reduced their offensive efforts, the hosts from Le Mont still managed to score two goals before the final whistle – the 1:5 by Tall following a free kick and the 2:5 by Kilezi. Next Monday afternoon, 17 April, FC Zurich will be facing FC Aarau at home (kick-off 3pm).
