Mirlind Kryeziu signs first professional contract

20-year- old Mirlind Kryeziu signed his first professional contract yesterday. The central defender has been part of FC Zurich’s extended squad since the second half of the 2016/2017 season and has signed a contract until the summer of 2021.

The 196cm tall defender has been with the club since the age of seven and has completed all of the Academy’s levels up to the U21s. So far, the player of Switzerland’s U20 national team has played three official matches with FC Zurich’s first team, in which he scored one goal. At the beginning of April 2017, Kryeziu suffered a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee, which has ruled him out for several months.

FC Zurich is very pleased to integrate another of its young players into the first team and would like to congratulate Mirlind Kryeziu on his first professional contract and wish him continued success as well as a speedy recovery.
