Oliver Buff leaves FC Zurich at the end of the season

FC Zurich and midfielder Oliver Buff have agreed not to renew the contract expiring on 30 June 2017. After twelve years with the club, the midfielder, who will turn 25 in August, will take up a new challenge with another club.

In 2005, Oliver Buff joined the FCZ Academy from FC Oetwil-Geroldswil. Shortly after winning the U17 World Cup in Nigeria with Switzerland’s national team, he made his debut in an official match for FC Zurich at the age of 17 in spring 2010 and signed his first professional contract. So far, Buff has played 217 official matches for FC Zurich (27 goals, 36 assists) and won the Swiss Cup in 2014 and 2016 (source: dbfcz.ch).

FC Zurich would like to thank Oli for his many years of fidelity to the club and his commitment and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future.
