FC Zurich sign striker Assan Ceesay

24-year-old striker Assan Ceesay joins FC Zurich from FC Lugano with immediate effect; he has signed a four-year contract until 2022.

Ceesay began his footballing career in this native country Gambia, where he played for Gamtel FC before joining Senegalese club Casa Sports and then FC Lugano in 2016. So far, he has scored a total of four goals (championship and Swiss Cup) for the club from Ticino this season.

Assan Ceesay will be wearing the number 99 shirt. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any details about the transfer modalities.
