FC Zurich part company with Uli Forte - Ludovic Magnin appointed new head coach of the first team

Yesterday, the board of directors of FC Zurich decided to terminate the collaboration with the head coach of the first team, Uli Forte, with immediate effect. As his successor, the club has appointed Ludovic Magnin, coach of FC Zurich’s U21s and former Swiss international.

In 2012, Ludovic Magnin ended his career as a player with FC Zurich (German champion and winner of the German Cup with Werder Bremen, German champion with VfB Stuttgart, 62 appearances with the Swiss national team, two participations both at the World Cup and the European Championship). He then began his trainer education with the FCZ Academy. In the summer of 2016, he was the coach of FC Zurich’s U18 team that won the Swiss championship and served as assistant coach of the first team that won the final of the Swiss Cup against FC Lugano. The 38-year-old Magnin has signed a contract until 30 June 2020.

FC Zurich would like to thank Uli Forte for his commitment to the club and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future.
