FC Zurich beat FC Sion 4-2
FC Zurich have won their home game against FC Sion 4-2 this afternoon.
Just three minutes after kick-off, Kramer opened the score and put FC Zurich 1-0 in front; Schönbächler had provided the assist. However, FC Sion was able to react immediately to the goal conceded and turned around the game thanks to goals by Toma and Lenjani in the 7th and 12th minute to put the visitors from the Valais 1-2 up.
Following a shot that crashed against the crossbar (17th minute) and a shot from long range (41st minute) by Marchesano, Nathan finally equalized the score at 2-2 still before the half-time break (45th minute).
Shortly after the break, FC Zurich again took the lead when Schönbächler was able to tap in a cross in the box by Kramer to score the 3-2 for the home side (49th minute). The visitors from Sion managed to only create a few attacks on the Zurich goal throughout the second half. And after Schönbächler had got the better end of several opponents in the penalty area and could only be stopped by means of a foul, Marchesano converted the penalty awarded without any problems (76th minute) to put the final score to 4-2 in favor of FC Zurich.
On Saturday, 23 November 2019, FC Zurich will be hosting FC Lucerne at the Letzigrund Stadium (kick-off 7pm).
