FC Zurich celebrate 4-0 victory against FC St.Gallen

FC Zurich have won their away game against FC St.Gallen 4-0 tonight.

FC St Gallen put pressure on the Zurich goal from kick-off and had several promising opportunities to open the score. And in the 14th minute, a shot from Cedric Itten almost found the back of the net, but the ball bounced off the crossbar.

Now it was the visitors’ turn; they put their foot down and had their fair share of the game, ultimately taking the 1-0 lead when Kramer headed the ball home to open the score 1-0 for FC Zurich following a Kololli corner (31st minute).

After the second half had kicked off, FC Zurich then had several good opportunities through Kramer, Antonio Marchesano with a shot from long range (57th minute), Kololli and a header from Nathan (59th minute). In the 64th minute, it was Tosin’s turn to finally double the visitors’ lead to 2-0 with a powerful shot into the St.Gallen net.

And when Kololli scored the 3-0 for FC Zurich in the 86th minute, the game was decided. It was then again Tosin who scored the 4-0 – his second goal of the evening.

Next Sunday afternoon, 28 June 2020, FC Zurich will be hosting FC Lugano at the Letzigrund Stadium (kick-off 4pm).
