FC Zurich sign forward Jonathan Okita
25-year-old forward Jonathan Okita joins FC Zurich with immediate effect and has signed a three-year contract until the summer of 2025.
Okita was born to Congolese parents in Cologne and later grew up in France and Belgium. He began his football career with RCS Brainois before joining AFC Tubize in 2013. The Democratic Republic of the Congo international’s other clubs were Standard Liège, KSV Roeselare, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and MVV Maastricht. Since the summer of 2018, the right-footed player has been under contract with Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, for which he scored 36 goals and played 31 assists in 135 official matches.
