FC Zurich sign attacking midfielder Donis Avdijaj
25-year-old German Kosovar Donis Avdijaj joins FC Zurich from Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg with immediate effect and has signed a three-year contract until the summer of 2025.
In his youth, Avdijaj played for VfL Osnabrück before joining the academy of FC Schalke 04 in 2011 and the club’s first team squad in the 2014/2015 season. Other clubs of the German junior international and six-time Kosovar international include SK Sturm Graz, Trabzonspor and Heart of Midlothian FC. The right-footed player has been under contract with TSV Hartberg since the end of August 2021, for which he scored seven goals and played two assists in 23 official matches.
